Thanks, I've updated.
Are those livejournal pages much like forums? Can anyone post and discuss? |

They are similar.
Posts are generally public, so people can view the pages without an account or watch without being a member of the community.
The only restriction is that you have to "join" to have posting privileges.
(Similar to forums that don't allow anonymous posting.)
Otherwise, anyone can post about on a LARP related topic.
(They can also discuss and comment on a given topic as well) |

A point to ponder..
Blogs can function like forums (ala Livejournal communities)
However, I was thinking that philosophically, blogs are very different beasts than forums. Technologically, they won't necessarily use the same code base.
Would it be prudent to consider a new sticky for blogs dedicated to LARPing (in the non-system specific sense)? |

Several forums attached to campaigns, but none really swiss-wide. Most people from switzerland who want to discuss rules, clothing patterns, builing things and so on do that in forums based in germany or france.
So:
Germany
Larper - http://larper.de/
(has taken up most of the regulars from forum.larpinfo.de)
For a good overview of what the german speaking swiss are doing, visit http://larpkalender.ch (a calendar, obviously). Something very alike exists for germany: http://larpkalender.de |

If that is true. Then simply post a new list then. I knwo for some weird reason My group listing hasn;t been updated even though I have done it through the website many times. And yet it still shows my group still not updated. Frustrating. Wish Shade would help. _________________ Just when you thought the worse was over. Here I am. :0) |

Hi!
For Germany larper.ning.com may be added. This Forum includes discussions, blogs, galleries etc. Probably the currently most frequented forum in Germany,

I added the German larper to my links. Anyone perchance know any Swedish larps? _________________ Just when you thought the worse was over. Here I am. :0) |

For the moderators:
I'd like to request an update to the list:
For the Livejournal communities in the US listings:
Please remove all of them except the New England LARPers Livejournal Community.
All of the others have been deleted.
Thanks! |

[quote="RyanPaddy"]What about Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland?
I think I've heard of community larp forums in some of those, anyone know the URLs?

Zombiewaking post. =P
There has been one or two large larp communities/forums in Sweden, but they have all more or less died. Nowadays most communication takes place via Facebook or at individual larp groups forums.
The most active forum nowadays would be SVEROK, which is the joint organization for distributing government funds for youth gaming and culture in Sweden. The larp part is here:
http://forum.sverok.se/viewforum.php?f=5
(In swedish, but most swedes are quite fluent in english)
