Hello,
I am a larp fanatic and would like to inform those in the area of what larps are in this area. Starting from Essex County NJ and working out:
LAIRE and Knight Realms have games in Sparta, NJ
Nero has games in Tannersville, PA
Mystic Realms has games in Medford, NJ
Faldura, Wyvern Rising, Dream Knights, & Knight Realms all hold games in White Haven, PA
Xanodria has games in Hamburg, PA and Kempton, PA
LIONE Rampart has games in Winsted, CT
Amtgard has games in Williamantic, CT
I think that is all the Live Combat Fantasy LARPS within a 200 miles radius of NYC. If there are more or I got so information wrong, please let me know.

There is also a brand new fantasy boffer LARP holding its first 'official' event in 2 weeks time, September 12-14th, on Long Island in NY (Well within the 200 mile radius of NYC:))

Currently we are looking for players and cast members to help make this LARP the best it can possibly be! This is the chance to get in on the ground floor of a LARP as either a player or cast member. Players entering the game where every other player is at their relative power level. Cast members (NPC) who join as permanent staff will work hard and be rewarded with the ability to write their own plots, drive forward and help flesh out the world, and make many of their own unique characters with which to entertain the players!

Hey Buggy...I am trying to put a face with a name here. I have met on a few occasions two people from Interactivities..one a tall (if I remember correctly) gentleman with light hair, glasses and a beard and one with dark hair and a goatee (at least as of March) Are you one of these two guys? Silly question I know but I have played in a few of your games including Miskatonic Class Reunion (as Wally Mordiff at ICON 2001), Prawn at Origins 2 years ago and signed up for another one at Origins that was most unfortunately canceled. I also talked to the second gent somewhat after this years ICON on Sunday where we shared triumphs and woes of the con:) I ran, big surprise, Realms of Adventure.
As I said just trying to put a name with a face (and when I meet people my ability to remember names measures in milliseconds).
I have had LOADS of fun with your games. I typically do boffer LARPs but your system was unique and very well done, not to mention th eplot lines were really unique and interesting. Especially Prawn...wow that was a funny concept (which I won't ruin in case anyone is reading and wants to experience it)
To the rest of the reading public I HIGHLY recommend signing up for games these guys run especially using the "Rules to Live By" set. GREAT FUN!! You will not be dissapointed!

Terres Rising is in Goshen, MA (definitely under 200 miles from NYC). The game has been running for about 4 or 5 years, but in the past year and a half has been remade and moved from Maine to Western Mass. under new leadership.
The game is in its rebuilding stage, so it's a great time to get on board. For more information, you can check out http://www.terresrising.com
That website sucks. It is old and outdated, but currently being remade with all the new rules and whatnot. The forum does have all the current 4.0 rules and errata as well as dates and such.
It is a fairly small game, but very fun. Games run in Ashford, CT.
