Volunteers can help with the following:

1. Serve on the Selection Committee. My only concern is people voting on pictures they themselves submitted. I guess I can deal with that when I see how many entries there are.

2. Promote the Awards. I'm working on a "press release" for this. I'm hoping to get done sometime this week. Once I get this finished, I'll need some help promoting it on the various LARP forums and websites.

3. Creating an awards banner for the artistically gifted

Again, thanks for the help.

Lovely. I'll be submitting a couple and happy to only judge in categories I haven't submitted in.

Do we have guidelines for the photos? Any limits, like maximum dimension (pixels) and file size (KBs)?

I'll probably limit the file size to 1MB in size per each photo. That way, we can get some decent quality photos. As for actual size, I won't put any limits, but I might "resize" it to allow it to be viewable.

I'll post the photo size and file limits in the final "press release".

I have no larp-pictures of my own, my gallery is made from pic's taken in my games. If any of those pic's enters the competition, I won't judge categories including them...

I'm also interested in serving in the committee. I doubt 'll take part in it myself but I'l let you know.
I'll also promote this in Solmukohta/Kuntepunkt (Scandinavian/North-European/European larp-gathering, somewhat academic) some way.
I've worked in the finnish larp-magazine "Larppaaja" ("Larper") both as the editor 'n chief and head of photo dept. so I think I may be able to get an add in there. Is there a graphical add or some graphical peaces that I can use to make one?

ps. I have no idea how geograpchicly oriented this site is. Should there be representatives in the committee from each country? With a small skeched plan I could try to get some from the Solmukohta but is what you want..?

The site is US-based with a lot of its members from there. But, the site was create with an international base in mind (english-speaking) with many contributors from different countries in the forums.

I'm hoping to get may different countries be represented in the Selection Committee. However, since it's volunteer based, I'm not too sure what countries will be participating.

I don't have any larplist.com graphics available. I'll develop some during the week.
