Hello All,
I live in San Antonio, TX and as most of you may know already, south of Dallas and Austin is kind of like a LARPing void. The General game down here is Amtgard, but Im looking for something with some substance and a days worth of play at least.
So im only left with a couple of options:
Play Amtgard - Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Still play for the Sport Fighting, but thats it.
Buy a franchise - I have money to produce a LARP, but not enough to buy a Franchise in a LARP.
Start my own - This I think may be my best option unless another system allows free use of their rules. But most systems are copyrighted.
Im not looking to make money. Just want to have fun. Any ideas out there, or anyone know of another group out here that I dont?
Thanks,
Bob |

NERO Austin/San Antonio is kind of in Start Up phase. Still kinda figuring out how or when to schedule and such, so theres not much activity. Although I have volunteered my efforts for C# programming, web, and graphic design for them should I be able to participate in their games. But as I havnt had any face to face contact with them as of yet...
If I do end up writing my own it would be a classless skill/spell system. Use whatever you can pick up and wear. Just armor may impede spell casing and such... |
