Like, say if there was a role-play bar fight, you could pay for a safety tag thing?

Edit: I am posting like crazy on this, because the idea is interesting. Only thing it's missing is the money and a place to do it. Which is unfortunately unavailable to me.

I reckon if you asked property owners in the area and gave them a percentage they'd let you do something cool on their land. Maybe make a national thing of it. mayhaps make a traveling troupe-type thing. Like fifth-wall-gaming?-

When gathering a group beware of other already established LARPs stealing away your people. Especially if your group is just an ideal and a dream and the other group is already established.

I was saying that if you were going to do a traveling troupe for larp, then fifth wall gaming is a decent business to model yourself after, (Though ideally with a different setting then WoD)

hey all,

new here. ive been working on a business plan based on a live gaming park for several months now. im an mba student and what started out as a project has kind of turned into a labor of love, hehe.

some of the basics:

1. center your business model around a "medieval retreat" where guests can come and stay in period style housing just like some sort of mountain retreat and dine on medieval cuisine!

2. run larps on the weekends through cooperation with local games to diversify your revenue streams. attract them with immersive attractions, i.e. dungeons, mazes, encounter areas, etc...

3. run week long summer camps to boost revenue in the larp off season (really hot in GA!)

4. massive marketing plan to attract new players to your park involving billboards and mail out pamphlets detailing your participating games. the south east has the largest concentration of larps in the US.

5. the hardest part, and btw, what none of you are addressing, is the lack of precedent in regards to construction costs related to this monumentous undertaking. there arent a lot of contractors you can approach and ask "say there, what'll ya charge to build me an inn, some tudor style barracks, a fully interactive dungeon, etc..." that is to say, if there are any bored contractors/architects who lurk these boards i would love some help!!!

that's the crux of my idea as investors would probably be a lot more into a medieval retreat as opposed to a "live action role playing theme park!"
