Think about it. A LARP TV network. Start small and post links to any and all LARP events. Give the art and science of LARP a positive light. It would be cool to start it here on Shade's linking back to the many LARP Videos across the net. Maybe even a nfp org to start kinda like Free Speach TV. IMHO LARP is dying. It's a slow death but it is getting smaller every year. A LARP is an excellent form of excersize. It's an excellent social and mental excersize. I t helps people cope with the real world.

Unfortunately won't happen. It would cost alot of money. For the licenses, the Equipment to air this channel. At this point is if you can get airtime on local access or public access.. But I doubt that even still exists. Other would be Youtube and the interwebz. *shrug* Twisted Evil

Should be easy to start up your own youtube channel there. Air LArp sessions. You should air tat larp fest thingy you've been talking about on organizing larp post. Show us how it's going. Twisted Evil

I would start small with youtube. See if it grows in popularity. I would be happy to post on the blog of my website and advertise it as well. That's a good way to spread the word too. Go viral.

Speaking of youtube...

watch the Realm of Larp June 18th, 2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH50QyKfoXs&feature=player_embedded

I play Barrington, a knight on a grand quest. I am one of four cast members that got the chance of a lifetime to larp in front of the cameras, to show the world how exciting and fun our kooky hobby can be.

Mayhap this could be the first step towards a dedicated larp network as our hobby becomes more mainstream.

I can recommend some movies from "Krigshjärta 5" (Warheart 5), a swedish warlarp I attended last summer.

Very Happy was just think about making a post like this one Very Happy

Here in Denmark we have have a kids show (called Barda) based around LARP, but it feels kind off scripted and is just one show. So making a tv-channel just for LARP, might be a stretch.
Since the audience is a bit more niche(small).
However a online channel, is quit possible. Since would reach a lot more people and help grow the community.

Heck a lot of shows already exist.
I have been running "LarpForge" ( http://larpforge.tumblr.com ) for around half a year now via youtube and blip, and my audience have only gone up, mostly on the international scale.
Especially after I started blogging and other blogs like http://www.larping.org posted some my shows.

Other shows I know off include
- "Realm of LARP"
- "LarpCraft"
- "MMORPG Radio"
-"Larry the Larper".

Popular blogs I know off inculde
- larping.org
- larperproblems.tumblr.com
- liveactionroleplaying.tumblr.com
- larpgirl.tumblr.com
- larpcouture.tumblr.com
- larplist.com (not a blog but more a international community)

But rather than create one big channel, i think that creating a community site for larp and rpg related shows.
Would might be a better idea.

Little like the critic community over at http://www.thatguywiththeglasses.com have. Just more open Cool
