They almost look like small mountains at a distance. With enough space it almost looks like a natural landscape. Up close, however, the truth is revealed. A bundle of ancient, twisted metal emerges from one heap. The skeleton of a building somehow still manages to cling to existence, even after time and weather have removed it's protective shell. This is hell. A simple, everyday reminder that nothing is as it once was. A question that all survivors are forced to live not with, but inside of. What happened? What caused the once vast empire known as Humanity to come to an abrupt and excruciating halt? In what was most likely a massive haven for humanity, now only fear and death dwell. Sounds in the distance remind us of a horrible fate which may find them at any time. The remainders of an annihilated civilization remind us that especially in times of glory, death may lay in wait.
It is here, on the remainders of an ancient wall that words are scrawled in red paint, obviously done in haste:
