Why not just tell them to piss off? If it was really your game, then the players (if there were any yet) would recognise who was in the right, and you would presumably have all the resources too. So why just roll over? Skulking off in a sulk and then trying to sabotage their efforts seems like a Scooby-Doo approach to a situation that really demands a confrontation and then getting on with your game.
Perhaps there's more to the story that we're not aware of yet, but it doesn't smell right to me from what has been written so far.[/quote]
Just waitin to see what the whoel story is abot myself. Would like to hear the other side to this tale. _________________ Just when you thought the worse was over. Here I am. :0) |

Ok...I guess I need to be more clear.
2 of the officers out of 5 did the taking over of the name. We decided as a group, who was left, that they could have it. We decided to rename our game and such. We still have the rulebook, maps and settings that were originally written. We have since copyrighted our material, and have not given permission to use it as of yet.
I know you only hear one side of the story, and I can't and won't speak for them. I suppose if we wanted to take it to court, we could. However, we are not going to go that route. We let them have their game, and we have ours. May the best game win!! LOL
To be honest, this is the only place I have really discussed it at all. |

Did you try saying something like "it looks like you're trying to take over ownership of the game, which isn't cool given how much work we've put into it. Let's decide what a fair split of the company is, and change the registered ownership details, then carry on running this thing together"?
With the next step if they didn't go along with that being kicking them out of the game, telling the players why, and carrying on with running it.
Or are the players, for some reason, on their side? |

| Well, basically it was done behind our back. Their friend owned the private land. We decided to take the high ground. Really nothing more than that. We will be successful doing it this way. I believe in Karma, and the only thing that has changed now for us, is the Name. |

Oh they got land to play on. Right there is the biggest barrier and cost of a world course LARP out of the way. Hope you guys get land! _________________ I know the pieces fit! I watched them fall away! |

| Right now we are paying for the land. We got a good deal, but it makes it harder to make money for the game improvement. |

| Well wolfdruid67 I'm sorry to hear about all of your troubles... (It's me...Josh) but your game sounds pretty solid, hell once I get some land out here in central MO in a couple of years, I might open a chapter over here to cut down on my drive time...then we can have crossover games with the two groups...that would be cool |

Very cool!
Get the land and people will come!
Make sure that you have all the paperwork for the leases per person so that they can build on it.
Hell you might actually want to make "contracts for lease" on small areas where they would have too by contract put up a building AND have use of the entire rest of the property.
People will flock to this.
In a pinch have a LARP fantasy festival like the britis do.
Google Fest Style LARP. _________________ I know the pieces fit! I watched them fall away! |

I think I will take you up on your offer to work on some storyline, nothing official, I don't want to be staff or anything, won't make it to enough events to make that worth while but I would like to do some writing for you guys, just drop me a line with some more details about the Bowl and I could start on some histories, current events, NPCs of note, and the like to submit to you guys and you can take what you want or mod it to fit your vision of the world, just let me now about the changes you make or send me a final copy so that I can keep a record myself and carry on plot from those points. Oh also if I'm not at an event be sure and let me now how it went and a brief on how the players handled it so I could adjust the plot accordingly. Thanks man I look forward to working with you guys again! |

| Ok, seriously, I dont want to be associated with Ageless Empires here. Is there anyway to dump them and put the actual game I am associated in its place? |

If you listed the game yourself. You should be able to change the information yourself. Like I did with my group listing. If someone else listed it for you. Ask them to change it. Otherwise you need to make a new listing and have someone from here delete it. _________________ Just when you thought the worse was over. Here I am. :0) |
