Legends of Asgard is a homegrown, high fantasy live-action roleplaying game played in Virginia. The game is set in a world of epic heroes, amid the violent clash between good, evil, and the end of the world.
We are a boffer LARP, using padded weapons to simulate combat. We are also a camping LARP, ranging out into the wilderness to get away from modern trappings. Legends of Asgard game that strives for immersion. For the entire event, you will be in character: living close to the land, going on adventures, and defending what you hold dear.
Players call on their own skills and abilities, while also being granted magics that allow them to surpass their norms. Half reenactment-within-fantasy-setting, Legends of Asgard believes that the best games are the ones where, for a weekend, a player can actually be a character in an expansive, fleshed out world.
In creating this world, Legends of Asgard steps back into the origins of the fantastic. Instead of drawing directly on the fathers of modern fantasy, Legends of Asgard is deeply rooted in the Norse mythology that inspired Tolkien. It is a world that resonates within our own, as if a shadow of the values and language of long ago.
